The beef used in WENAEWE has been produced under strict organic regulations that forbid the use of synthetic fertilizers, hormones or any other chemical substance. Our cattle are grown exclusively on organically produced pastures and naturally have a reduced fat and cholesterol content. WENAEWE's organic beef contains an optimum balance of Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids. It is rich in Conjugated Linoleic Acid, Vitamin E, and Beta Carotenes. Combined, all these properties give our fresh organic beef the ability to fight bad cholesterol (LDL), and prevent the accumulation of arteriosclerotic plaque.

WENAEWE uses only whole organic fresh vegetables in order to preserve the integrity of their vitamin content, as well as to use their natural pigments as colorants.

Organic Carrots, are the richest natural source of Beta-Carotenes. They help delay aging of all tissue, accelerate epithelial reconstitution, and preserve good vision. Organic Red Beets provide an excellent source of digestible fiber, which maintains intestinal motility and health. Organic Red Beets are a source of Vitamin A and C, Niacin, Folic Acid and Biotin. They also help cleanse the hepatic channels and venules. Organic Broccoli contains sulphuraphane, an important photochemical that helps to prevent cancer, and Vitamin K, a powerful coagulant. In addition, it provides Calcium, Iron, Potassium Vitamin C, and fiber.

Organic Oregano is rich in Carvacrol, a substance that stimulates the activity of Lacto bacilli and the production of volatile fatty acids. Carvacol helps maintain the balanced microbial activity in the intestinal flora. Among aromatic herbs, Oregano contains one of the highest concentrations of natural antioxidants. These herbs combined with Garlic, Propolis, and Rosemary, have a beneficial effect on the intestinal flora through their Pro-Biotic action, which selectively stimulates the growth and the activity of bifidus (Bifidobacterium Bifidum).

THE RIGHT BALANCE OF ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS:

WENAEWE provides the right balance of essential fatty acids. Fatty acids are the main components of fats and are divided into saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated. Since the pets body produces naturally both saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, neither of them are necessary for the pets diet. However, two polyunsaturated fatty acids (PFA), Linoleic Acid (Omega 6 family and Linolenic Acid (Omega 3 family), are not produced by the body and therefore need to be provided in the diet. These two substances are known as essential fatty acids.
These essential fatty acids are important to maintain the health of the membrane surrounding all the cells in the body and to produce prostaglandins that regulate many corporal processes. For example, they regulate inflammation and blood coagulation. These essential fatty acids are also necessary to enable the correct assimilation of Liposoluble Vitamins (A,D.E.and K), and to regulate the metabolic processing of cholesterol.

WENAWE contains the scientifically recommended ratio of 4 parts of Omega 6 fatty acids to 1 part of Omega 3. This optimal relationship between all these fatty acids has many beneficial effects upon your dogs, perhaps the most visible are the healthy shine in their coat and the flexibility of their skin.

2.1 WENAEWE'S SOURCES OF LINOLEIC ACID: (Omega 6 family)

Organic vegetables and seeds as well as unrefined canola and sunflower oils make WENAEWE a rich source of naturally occurring Linoleic Acid.

The Organic Canola Oil in WENAEWE is unrefined first cold pressed. It is extracted mechanically, rather than chemically to avoid contact of the oil with any chemical substances that might alter their structure or contaminate it. The final product is wholesome, easy to digest and has a pleasant mild flavor.
Of all the vegetable oils, Organic Canola Oil has the lowest percentage of saturated fatty acids (7%), it is high in monounsaturated fatty acids (61 %), and contains moderate amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids (22 %). Polyunsaturated fatty acids in Canola oil provide both Omega and Omega 6 fatty acids, which are essential for the maintenance of cell structure, and hormonal function. In addition, Canola oil is a rich source of Vitamin E.

2.2 WENAEWE'S SOURCES OF ALPHA-LINOLENIC ACID (Omega 3 family)

Flax oil contains double the concentration of Omega 3 than the most commonly publicized source: fish oil. Both flax and canola are excellent sources of Omega 3 fatty acids.
Our diet contains a ratio of 4 parts of Omega 6 fatty acids to 1 part of Omega 3. This is the recommended ratio for an optimum dietary intake of essential fatty acids.

Organic Flax is a rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids. These help maintain the dog's skin and coat shiny and flexible. Flaxseeds are rich in fiber which is essential for a healthy digestive system. They also contain anti-oxidants which prevent damage to cells and tissues. The combined actions of its Omega 3 fatty acids, fiber and lignin actively prevent heart disease. There is scientific proof that adding Organic Flax Seed to a diet helps fight LDL Cholesterol (bad cholesterol), which is responsible for the clogging of arteries.

2.3 WENAEWE"S SOURCES OF STEARIC AND OLEIC ACID (Omega 9 family):

Among all the fatty acids the ones in the Omega 9 family are the only naturally stable ones which makes them excellent agents to stabilize the flavor, aroma, and texture of foods.
The High-Oleic Sunflower Oil in WENAEWE's formula is unrefined and obtained mechanically through first cold pressing. Thanks to this minimal processing, the oil is free from contamination with fenolic compounds connected to solvents used in chemical processing. High-Oleic Sunflower Oil contains more than 77% of Monounsaturated Fatty Acids. It provides a higher amount of Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil, which makes it a powerful anti-oxidant.

3.1 TRACEABILITY

To insure the safety of our raw materials we have implemented a program that traces their origin and performs tests of their intact organic quality at every critical point: from the analyses of seeds and the development of crops through the harvest, storage, transport, processing and bagging. Our traceability system maintains a detailed record of all the data obtained at each critical-point analysis providing a history of each ingredient.

3.2 CAREFULLY SELECTED INGREDIENTS

3.2.2 PROPOLIS, A NATURAL PRESERVER:

Rather than relying on a chemical preserver, WENAEWE uses a naturally occurring substance. Bees produce Propolis out of a mixture of several resins they collect from trees in wild forests to use it as a natural protection from infection in their beehives. Its natural antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic qualities have long been known and used in Eastern medicine. It also has anti-oxidant qualities and prevents respiratory infections by acting as a powerful antibacterial agent upon the mouth and throat.

3.3 PRODUCTION AND POST-PRODUCTION QUALITY CONTROL

All our products are tested at our canine lodge where specialized personnel, under the supervision of our scientific team, work testing digestibility, palatability, reproduction, physical condition, and activity level of the pets.

Our canine lodge is also a treatment center where animals suffering from conditions such as diabetes or kidney problems have been treated while being fed our diets. Our clinical analyses of their evolution confirms the reduction of glycemia when the dogs were fed a controlled diet of WENAEWE adult.

We have also detected that our In-Vivo index of digestibility is even higher than the already excellent data obtained in the In-Vitro experiments. The difference between these data must be attributed to our working with organic whole raw materials that preserve intact all their enzymatic factors and co-factors and therefore facilitate a better digestibility of the final product.
